Emerging Leaders Program


The Emerging Leaders Program provides an introduction to leadership in Catholic Schools. The program is aimed at teachers with limited leadership experience who are curious about the knowledge, skills and dispositions required to become a faith-filled Catholic school leader. The program focuses on developing a Christ-centred leadership identity, managing change, leading classroom practice, working with parents and the school community to develop children as whole Christian persons.

The program is open to teachers and CEO Office personnel without significant leadership experience aspiring to a leadership role.




Learning Goals include:

  • Explore authentic Christian witness as the foundation of leadership in Catholic schools
  • Explore contemporary models of Gospel Leadership that are inclusive, flexible and responsive to the increasing requirements of church, governments and society
  • Model pedagogical relationships consistent with Christ’s leadership and promote the role of families and strong school parish relationships in working with the school to enhance the holistic education of children


Prerequisites: Teaching in a Catholic School in WA and Principal endorsement

Duration: Four days

Course dates: 12 Mar, 17 Apr, 1 Jul and 26 Aug

Cost: $800


Venue: Newman Siena Centre, 33 Williamstown Rd, Doubleview
