Early Career Teacher Program


The purpose of the Early Career Teacher program is to provide early career teachers with support to learn, practise and refine the elements of their professional role in a Catholic context. In doing so, the program will provide guidance for early career teachers to transition from proficient to full registration with TRBWA.




Learning Goals include:

  • Enable early career teachers to develop their knowledge, skills and understandings of contemporary pedagogy and mission-inspired practice and outreach
  • Develop a professional identity through professional conversations and a shared understanding and commitment to the Vision for Learning
  • Developing skills promoting inclusive Christ-centred leadership, prayer life, resilience, emotional management, work-life balance and a spirit of joy
  • Develop a shared understanding and commitment to the Transforming Lives: Strategy 2025


Target Audience: Early Career Teachers

Prerequisites: CEWA Teacher and Principal endorsement


Duration: Term 1, 2 and 3 in Year One; Term 1 and 3 in Year Two

Cost: Nil. Subsidy available to country schools for teacher relief
