Aspiring Principals Program


This leadership program supports a group of high performing aspirant Principals to develop the knowledge, skills and networks required to adjust to the rigours of first-time Catholic school principalship. The program focuses on the development of leadership grounded in the example of Jesus Christ; the use of data to inform the creation of engaged learning environments; techniques to manage school physical and human resources and strategies to inspire communities to actively live the Gospel.




Learning Goals include:

  • Explore models of effective Christ-centred leadership
  • Understand the unique nature of Catholic schools of excellence
  • Develop strategies to develop strong pastoral Catholic communities that connect parents, parish and community
  • Explore ways to provide accessible, affordable and sustainable schools


Target Audience: Assistant Principals and Deputy Principals aspiring to Principalship

Prerequisites: Accreditation for Leadership and Principal/Director endorsement


Duration: 21 days

Course dates: Terms 1-4 over two Years

Cost: $1250 per year

Masters Credit: Yes
